The perception of Mortarless walls has changed in the approximately
17 years since their inception. People, at first, were
concerned about the strength and durability of a wall that needed no
footing and had no mortar between the joints. Now mortarless
walls can be seen everywhere, from little planters to the average 3
foot wall for the consumer to the mega-wall holding up parking lots.
And
why not? Interlocking mortarless walls have the strength of
brick and poured concrete walls, they have the flexibility of dry
laid stone and have the cost effectiveness of timber walls (without
the rot).
